1. A stole, I believe.
Faux mink would be snazzier, though.

4. Surplice

...and the surplice is the shirt-like garment that goes over the cassock. The 'scarf-like' item is indeed the stole.

An Altar Boy (reformed)

5. If they choose it at the last minute, it's down-to-the-wire choir attire.
Otherwise, I don't know.

14. Shit - that reminds me. I need new strings for my craviola.
Mine is a 1974. They only made them for two years (74 & 75) and then brought them back a couple years ago by popular demand:

Best sounding acoustic on the planet.

17. Yeah, but you haven't experienced anything until you've done the base port.
On the craviola, of course. Now what were YOU thinking?!?!? There's no other "guitar" that sounds like it. It plays like a guitar but is technically a different instrument. It has nylon strings and a felt pick is the key to the best sound.

19. Go back, pick one up, and play it. You'll want it.
I'm not sure if the new ones are even close in sound to the one I have, as mine is an original, but it should still be sufficient to get you thinking. The new ones are in the $400 range. Mine's worth several thousand because of its condition. Most of the original ones suffered broken necks because of lack of use with the strings still taught. One that has been repaired is far less valuable than an intact one. I have my '75 regular acoustic (also a Giannini) but the craviola is my favorite. It was originally my dad's, but he gave it to me since he wasn't playing it anymore.

On a side note, my '76 Selmer Signet alto sax is now in my youngest daughter's hands. I'm just glad to hear it being played.
