This is from the studio album, back when there were records.

Mose is evidently still touring...
see his site here: http://moseallison.com/

If you never heard of him, please do yourself a favor and listen to this.

2. If you can find that yellow LP/CD shown in the video BUY IT!
It has lots of his best work form the Atlantic Records lable and it will keep you entertained for a while. His style is very distinct and often contains elements of humor. I LOVE Mose Allison. One of my favorite musicians EVER. I have played his records so much over the years I have turned my wife into a Mose Allison fan. He makes me regret playing guitar instead of piano. He is sort of a musician's musician. Some of his songs have been covered by two of my favorite modern rock bands; the Who and the Clash. I got to see him one time at a jazz club in Kansas City.

He mumbles while he solos. Just slightly off mic. You can hear it on some recordings. I think it may be the way his body involuntary reacts to the music he is playing. He is sort of place holding the beat with a grunt/mumble. It is weird but somehow very musical. You can see it/hear it in this live video from a few years ago. Also, it is another song written by the great John D. Laudermilk.

4. Score!
A million dollars worth of music for two quarters!

Stay tuned. Rumor has it that Mose, despite vowing to never record again, is stepping into the studio sometime this year.
