1. Great pic. Nichols is an amazing director.
Who knew he and Elaine May would both come out of Second City and become such terrific film makers.
I still remember how a local Chicago TV station back in the early 70's would take classic movies and cram them into a 60 minute afternoon slot, complete with commercials, and I specifically remember what they did to The Graduate. I think the Mad Magazine parody probably left more of the film intact.

5. It was the Channel 7 (ABC affiliate) afternoon "movie."
Trib columnist at the time Gary Deeb ripped the station mercilessly for it. It was not unlike Johnny Carson's Tea Time Movie skit. But without Art Fern and the Tea Time Movie Lady.
