Any DU surfers on the east coast?
If so where is your home break? Are you going to take advantage of the storm swell? Personally I don't paddle out when the surfs larger then single over-head. I don't even fantasize about charging double overhead barrels because I'm too old, fat, not to mention I suck.

Besides simple suckage, I longboard and when faced with anything bigger then a long period single overhead swell I don't have the gas to make the paddle out.

:headbang:

1. Volusia County and yes, the numbers look impressive...
Look at Thursday morning...

I'll be physically ill when I see it, but yes I'll probably go out.

I know some secret protected areas where I (hopefully) won't take a such massive beating.

Cheers.

4. I googled Wrightsville Beach.
Looks like a cool longboard break. Post some pictures if you get the chance.

5. They have the women's East Coast championship there
Those in the know say it's the best surfing on the East Coast, along with parts of the Outer Banks (OBX). LOTS of surfers there and very fun to watch! The water and air are warm enough that you can surf year round, except for the occasional cold spell.

7. Are you surfer guys and gals Beach Boys fans?

I've never surfed, and at this age never will, but I love to go in the water.

Edited for grammer. I hate it when that happens.

8. I can't surf, but am a Beach Boys fan ha
I am landlocked, and can't swim well enough to get past the baby waves on a board when I have tried on the west coast.
