Just got home from the Presidential Motorcade

Here he is...bit of a blur driving by us this morning. We were in the southbound lanes of I-5 and he was rolling northbound into Seattle from Boeing field.
Sorry for the shakiness, it's a flip video cam, good little piece of gear, but no stabilization

United States?
Anyway, it looked to me like they didn't have enough people out there? You may remember, President Lincoln had nobody. He had to ask soldiers to accompany him. And sometimes they said, no.
But, I guess that's the state of the world today, and the state of the bureaucracy.

5. People had enough warning for the most part

As I was leaving town, I was trying to decide whether to take I-90 or take a chance on I-5. I figured I'd grab I-5. It will probably be as close as I will ever get to the President.
It actually timed out better than I expected. Traffic was slowing as I was getting closer to the Boeing Access Rd on ramp that the motorcade would be taking to I-5 as more and more people made the effort to see it. I was able to practically stop where I took the video until it passed.
Of course there wasn't a car in the northbound lanes, and I could see just past the overpass where State Patrol had them blocked.
It's hard to tell in the video, but I saw some secret service dudes in other black SUV's with the windows down, scouring the area.
Pretty cool, that's for sure.

We saw his motorcade in DC, not too long after he was elected. Pretty cool!



I once saw Cheney's motorcade, complete with ambulance. He went through our small borough on the way from some fundraiser. Ugh.
