9. This song was covered lately.
Super players
Neil Morse: Spock's Beard/solo,
Mike Portnoy: Dream Theater,
Paul Gilbert: Racer x/Mr. Big/Solo

and I don't know who the bass player is...

This was the hardest rocking shit my sister had back in the day. LOL. Theirs too, maybe.

I turned 11 that year, and when seeing your Osmond brothers vid, I remember thinking back and trying to remember who I thought was hot then. This lounge is constant reminder of how embarrassingly geeky my life has been, David Cassidy was cool, but man later when his brother Shaun hit the scene, I was a goner!

JUST the other day, a friend of mine actually had occasion to
say, "It was the third of September" with a cadence that perfectly
matched on some subject unrelated to that song, but I immediately
responded with a kneejerk, "That day I'll always remember."
.
She looked puzzled and asked, "What?" and I opened my mouth to
explain, but just shut it again and said, "Nevermind", thinking to
myself, "GET OFF MY DAMN LAWN!!!!"

26. I think some of those songs came out before 1972
Edited on Tue Aug-17-10 03:51 AM by Art_from_Ark
"American Pie" was released in 1971, and I believe "I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing" was used in a Coca-Cola commercial around Christmas 1970, and maybe even before that. And Nights in White Satin was released on the Days of Future Passed album in 1967.

19. Aggghhh! No, "OMG" and "1972" just were not enough warning.
I can only sigh with relief that I was past the "teen idol crush" time when that came along.

I was mushroom hunting. Still do. Just froze a large batch of honey mushrooms.

22. I had an ex-girlfriend who had this album, and all of their other albums
I also had an ex girlfriend who had all of Barry Manilow's albums.

A shared love of good music has sort of been the universal weak link with all of my exes.

24. I was 3. Thank God.
So I don't rememeber them channeling their inner-James Gang (at least the riff, anyway).

Donny didn't look like he wanted to be part of that number. He's SO the "Go Away Little Girl" type.

Side note: I was in Vegas last week. You should have seen the hordes of younger-end boomer women lined up for Donny And Marie at the Flamingo. That's 100-252 a pop, not counting service charge. Some major bank being made there. God, if you're spending that much, see Blue Man Group instead. Far better buy.
