My parents would make a bed in the back and us kids would sleep and my parents would take turns driving all night on road trips.

Can't do that today, but at least now they have video games and DVD players for the kids.

I was playfighting with my older sister and LEAPED from the back over her shoulder
into the back seat. I hit the door handle JUST right and out the door I went,
tumbling ass-over-elbows.

I STILL can "see" my sister jumping out of the car and running for me before it
had slowed much at all.

I was perfectly OK -- scared shitless but not a bruise or a scratch.

I have led a fairly magical life.

Two or three minutes earlier and I woulda been a little goner.

20. When I was a little kid, I went to Florida in a station wagon

With my aunt, uncle and cousin. My aunt and uncle sat in the front. luggage in the back seat, and my cousin and I in the tailgate compartment. It was pretty cool, since we had a big comforter thing to sit on and lots of toys to keep us entertained. The only drawback was the sharpener in our big box of crayons which left colored shards of crayon all over. My aunt called it "the snake pit...":rofl: :hi:
