I fell deeply in love with Autolux's first album. I was so exited to hear their 2nd album just released that I ordered it from their website so I could have the free DL as soon as it was releaseed.

No joy for me. It's just not what the first one was. I was so hoping to hear magic again.

Question: Where may I find new magic?

The references above do not costitute all that I am into, but they fit with the mood stirred byt autolux. What is it all? Dream pop? I'm not clear on the genres any more. Too many. Anyways, you have such deep knowledge of great music I thought you might have a suggestion or two.

The other side of me is deeply into thick, loose, rough bluesey stoner rock. Fu Manchu, Wolfmother, Cojones, Clutch, Mastodon, High On Fire, Greenehorns, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Acid King stuff like that. But I do have my kinder gentler side which is where the other stuff comes in. Add to that 8mm, Portishead, Bowery Electric, Lamb. Then there is the electronica. And the punk of all kinds old and new. And post-punk of all kinds. And the Drum & Bass stuff. And the shoegazer stuff (Swervedriver!). And Heavenly. Remember Heavenly?
