Well, here I am again. Hi. Long time no see.
Missed me, hunh?
Yeah, I knew you did.
I missed you guys in the Lounge too.

Just been away, doin' one thing and another.

Right now dealing with Allstate insurance since I got rear ended in MA.
Long story, but me and Miz t. are OK.
Some frame damage on the Prius, and who knows what else until I meet with the claims adjuster in the a.m.

Life goes on.
How you guys doin'?
:-)

2. The gusher is capped, so we're cautiously jubliant.
Fingers crossed.

3. It's good to see you trof. I'm doing well.
I'm sorry to hear about the car. Insurance claims are always a hassle, but I'm glad you two are okay.

I had a different name, but I've been around since the early O's.

Nice to see you again.

6. With a name like Trof are you trying to tell us you are a male spawn in Sarah Palin's family?
Cause all the boys are have a made up name with a T_ _ _

12. Animal Food Trof - Palin's third (and kept under wraps) son.
We tried to tell her "trough," not "trof" but, you know, Sarah and all.

10. It fared VERY well. But here's the REST of the story...
We were rear-ended by...

wait for it...

ANOTHER Prius!
What are the chances of THAT happening?
Anyway...the bumpers matched perfectly.
There's some rear frame damage. The trunk won't latch.
There may be more internal damage but won't know until they start pulling panels and look at the 'innards'.

We were in the center lane of the 3 northbound lanes on Rt. 3 near Billirica, MA.
Cruise was on at 65.
The guy who hit us came literally out of nowhere. Witnesses said he was all over the road and doing at least 90 to 95 mph.
He seemed dazed and said he didn't know what happened.
Also said it was totally his fault.
As did the state trooper and the guy's insurance company.
The Prius goes in the shop Monday.

14. 90 to 95 on a Prius?
That in itself is amazing!

Could it have been another sudden acceleration incident?

I'm in Milton, by the way, not far from Billirica.

15. Oh yeah. I've had mine up to near 90 with room to go.
I wondered about the sudden acceleration too.
Dunno.
The guy who hit us is 72.
Hell, I'll be 70 next year, so I don't know if that's relevant.
But he appeared to be gobsmacked.
One witness saw him veer into the breakdown lane before he hit us.
Guess the rumble strip woke him up?
She said she was traveling at 75 (about normal for Rt. 3, posted speed limit is 55) and he nearly clipped her front bumper in a wild lane change.
She estimated his speed at 95.
Said he just blew by her.

My first thought was that he was on his cellphone.
If that had been the case I might have done something I'd be (a little) sorry for now.
I was PISSED!
I'm sure you can imagine my state of mind.
:grr:

9. Was actually thinking of doing a "anybody heard from" post about you
I had posted something in the Arizona group the other day and saw your "might be moving" post kicked back up and wondered what happened to you. Still thinking of moving here?

Good luck with the ins. Sometimes it isn't so bad. Our family has been with State Farm forever and they seem pretty reasonable about things - my sister totaled 2 cars belonging to my father in less than a year and they haven't even raised my his rates.

13. The Phoenix move fell through and I'm kind of glad.
My son-in-law didn't get the job.
I think he's glad too.
He has a good job in Boston that he likes.
