How's your mosquito situation?

I haven't seen it this bad around here (Chicago NW burbs) in several years. The rain we've had the last month or so just seems to keep feeding the beast.

1. Terrible! I am covered with bites from working in the garden.

And they have spotted the mosquito that carries the West Nile Virus in the neighboring county (western PA).

We have NO standing water anywhere on our property. They must be coming over from the neighbors!

2. Haven't seen any this year.

I do have standing water: stock tanks. There's a river a couple of miles away.

3. Central Gulf Coast of Florida.

Coastline, salt marshes, fresh water springs, lakes and rivers all around here.

People put up bat houses and purple martin houses all over the place to try and put a dent in the mosquito population.

But, for some reason, I have not noticed a mosquito all year this year. Weird.
