Was putting a picture in a new frame. Was sitting on the floor, the glass fell out on my ankle. Presto, blood everywhere. Didn't hurt, glass didn't break. Hardest part was getting wife's attention to drive me to town, she was on the other side of the barn.

1. My dear triguy46!
Hey, look at the bright side: at least the glass didn't break, and it can still be used in framing your picture!

Ugh.

Sorry about that; stitches aren't fun. Heal up soon, OK?

:hi:

5. no floods but nice showers almost every afternoon
sort of like the tropics
neighbor right across the highway has had 2 2-inchers but we haven't had anything over an inch here at the house. I love a gully washer but the truth is slow is so much better for the ground - and it is greening up nicely!

7. Where are you all? We've had weird rains here in OK...
on Weds we had 1.5 inches in 20 minutes, 8 miles west in town they had 0. But a week ago a friend on the west side of town had 3 and we had 0 11 miles east. 102 degrees today, 52% humidity, no breeze at all. That is why I was indoors playing with pictures instead of doing something safe like putting my brush hog back together.

8. Southern Az.
We've had some great monsoon action lately. We only get rain in the summer and a bit in the winter, so precipitation is cause for elation.

9. We're usually arizona-ish this time of year....
but past 3 years we've had record moisture and record heat. We've become the new Louisiana.

6. I actually mentioned that to the doc...
After he numbed it up, could have sewn it up on my own. Prob would not have done as need a job. For that matter, in real rough times, a tight bandage could have done this, no arteries were involved. A confession, the doc is a friend, and I run the clinic, and its just so nice to have access to good health care, its a crying shame its not like that for everyone. He met me there on the way to his farm, sewed me up, alls well.

10. eh I was just joking around
I recently had occasion to visit some medical professionals and I was faced with that old dichotomy between urban and rural - the kinds of things you see and do that are so shocking and outrageous to the housebroken city-dwellers - and I am getting less and less able to self censor:rofl:
