Black kids still stuck in the Jim Crow era, really; white and black kids on their way to Vietnam soon as you got out of college, or flunked out. Everybody scared. No a/c summers, American food still meatloaf and ketchup, no seatbelts so Janie Clark next door got killed. Abortion illegal, lots of tragedies. Girls scared of sex. Three miserable TV channels. Movies not allowed to show shit. No cellphone, no internet, BUT THERE WAS THE BEST GIRL GROUP EVER...
