2. I did something much like that back when I used to be immortal

and...you actually have a much better sense and control of the board when barefoot.

3. it's amazing how quickly a board can stop when
it encounters the right rock or stick in the road. Back in the 70's guys used to take the back side of Hiller in Oakland barefoot & shirtless. very steep & kind of long but not a freeway.

4. Dang - no potholes in new zealand, apparently. Try doing that on an American highway.
Especially in Michigan.

Might get away with it in West Virginia - nice Interstate there. And lots of opportunity to work up insane speed.

But the erst of the country? Those skateboarders would have died from a pothole, heave in the pavement, rough spot from too-heavy trucks, or other fucking thing that's gone unrepaired since the Ford administration.

5. Actually, NH would work
They let each state spec out Interstate construction. Tell a frugal State engineer here that Uncle Sugar pays the bills, you get a 5' deep roadbed, of gravel and crushed rock.
Our 2 biggest pavers fixed bids on highway repaving for 20+ years - and avoided detection by doing top-quality work.
