Mad Men starts tomorrow
Edited on Sat Jul-24-10 05:40 PM by Tuesday Afternoon
:woohoo:

The big question going into a new season of "Mad Men" is always, How much time has passed in between seasons?

Now that fans have gone through trying to figure that out three times, though, the answer is turning out to be the same every time: Enough.

We're going to stick as close as possible to a no-spoiler preview here, but what we'll say about where the show is when it returns Sunday (July 25) is that enough time has passed -- you'll get a sense of the timeframe pretty quickly -- for the big changes at the end of last season -- Don (Jon Hamm) and Betty's (January Jones) split, Don, Roger (John Slattery) and others breaking away to start their own agency -- to sink in and take effect.

1. I LOVE this show!
Lol, I am watching the finale of the last season again right now.

I like the reflections of the 60's...I would have been about the age of one of Don's kids.

I think it's a good show.

And I have a crush on Peggy, lol.

2. I am not reading any more than what is quoted in your post.
It's all gonna be different this season, but the characters will all essentially be the same. Who knows what is gonna happen? How will they adapt to the changing marketing environment? The Beatles? The Mustang? Who is gonna fuck who? I don't wanna rush my weekend after the hell that was last week, but I want my Mad Men!

3. I'm still surprised how few people watch it, even after all the
media attention it received from winning so many Emmys.
Not one person I know watches it....at least with Six Feet Under there were friends to discuss it with.but Madmen is mine alone...lol
I love everything about the show and characters, and am experiencing a quivering heart just thinking about tomorrow night..
Enjoy,enjoy,enjoy,everyone!

:hi:

Very excited for the new season!

Edited to add: If you're a fan of the style / interested in the styling and clothes, the guys Tom and Lorenzo (who first started blogging about Project Runway) have done a fun rundown of the clothing but each post also has a good overview of the shows.

Here's a sample post: http://tomandlorenzo2.blogspot.com/2010/06/mad-style-sterling-women-part-2.html
