1. That is a neat looking animal. However,
as I assume they have not been domesticated, you can't have most wild animals as pets :(

(On a side note, my mother saved a baby squirrel who was injured in our yard once when I was a kid and he lived with us in the house for years and was a lovely pet. He went on the live in the yard after being reintroduced into the wild.)

2. My stepfather has a pet squirrel
For the past 2 years the same squirrel comes everyday to grab peanuts. He can even get the lid off the container (after chewing away at it for awhile). Mind you he can't actually pet the animal although he did get bit once by it (he was trying to see if the squirrel would take the peanut from his hand and the squirrel got some skin when he grabbed the nut).

3. Because they carry SARS
Frankly, making coffee from their droppings is asking for trouble as well, IMO

10. Yes and it was only the Gambian pouch rat that carries Monkey Pox
Not all exotic rodents but...the issue is many many MANY of these exotics are incubators of new and unusual strains of viri and therefore its best to leave these animals where they belong...In the wild.

4. How Did They Discover That This Particular Animal's Dung Produced The Best Coffee?
Edited on Tue Jul-20-10 12:35 PM by Yavin4
How did they find this out? Did someone see this animal take a dump and say "hmmm that would look good in my cup"? Who made this discovery? Did they do extensive animal dung testing of other animals? How do they know if some other animal's dung produces better coffee?

5. It was probably a game of 'Truth or Dare' gone horribly awry
The real secret is probably that the coffee tastes like shit (or at best, it just tastes like coffee) but everybody who has drunk it has to pretend it's the best thing ever to try and avoid looking like a complete moron...
