Is "Inception" going to have a sequel? Expect SPOILERS
If there was ever a movie that needed one, that one does. You can't have an idea that good, and end it in the manner it ended.

1. It has a 9.3 rating on IMDB
Here is a link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1375666/ I am looking forward to seeing it, I adore the premise and implications of such power. While the film is fiction, there are some real world applications. I ordered Paprika from Netflix, it is thought to be the inspiration for Inception. I can give or take Leonardo, but Ellen Page is a pleasure to watch.

2. Great link, especially the FAQ.
Though it didn't say anything about a sequel.

3. There MIGHT be a sequel:

On figuring out the last scene, someone said to use your ears and not your eyes.

Damn. Now I have to go back and see it again.

4. I plan on seeing it today if I can get tickets. In L.A. really good
movies tend to sell out (but since it's in wide release, I might have a shot).Cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

6. Do you buy off Fandango?
If you are concerned about it being sold out, Fandango will tell you if it is and sell you tickets if it isn't. http://www.fandango.com/inception_126406/movietimes

5. About the ending, this is from the message board:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Definitely think the ending is meant to be in reality as we know it.

I do think Nolan was giving us, the viewer, another "Inception." By making the spinning top wobble but not stop spinning... I believe he plants an idea... What if there is a higher state of consciousness? What if our reality here on earth is like another dream within a dream? But we just don't know about it yet b/c we haven't died. Now going much further in this discussion will probably bring religion into the equation, which is always a dicey subject...

But I believe the ending was Nolan's ultimate "Inception" on us, the viewer.

While I know there are different states of consciousness, I am lost to the above, because I haven't seen the movie yet, but maybe it will make sense to you. When there are layers of events, I like to see the film twice or even three times. It also helps to read the synopsis. Now I am getting excited to see the film even more, I may have to start pestering someone, or go by my lonesome.

8. I thought it was a 4.5 star movie until the last few seconds.
I'm sick and tired of the uncreative "gee, was it all real or not?" ending.

It's trite and beyond cliche nowadays.

Writers should have the courage to actually just say what they want, instead of falling back on the easy, uncreative "not sure how to end it, so let's do it AMBIGUOUSLY! Yeah, that fucking rocks!!!!!!"

:puke:

I loved the movie until then, even though I was pretty sure, once they made mention of the totems, that they were going to take the cheap way out.

11. As long as the sequel doesn't fall back on the same tired cliche to end with.
"Gee, that's the second movie in the series, and we still don't know what's real and what's a dream; who's the architect of this whole two-movie schema, or if it's architect-free reality level".

12. This is how I picture it:
His friends will create the dream tiers they need to reach him. They'll set up the plot in an attempt to convince him he has to kill himself in the world that he, wrongly, thinks is the real one. When he awakes, it will be ten years later, but he will be reunited with Mall and the kids.

13. Yep....I thought it was rather a cop-out myself...BUT.....did you notice that..
...the top spun fast and level until the last 2 seconds...then started to wobble and slow down.

(Thinking),,..

Which makes me think I'm acting and saying just what the Director wanted. Rats !!

14. Yes, and there was that little clicking sound as the movie ended
which could mean that the top fell over.

It irritates me - I don't know why writers continue to think that this is genius or clever or ooh-boy-this'll-prove-I'm-super-cool writing. It isn't. It's lazy, uncreative, and overdone. And it's totally unnecessary.
