if anyone else follows deadliest catch..they showed the episode where Phil died last night.

It came on at 9 eastern.

every 5 minutes all evening the history channel did this morbid *tonight at 9..watch Phil die!..Phils FINAL episode* commercials.

By 9 even my wife was reluctant to watch from all the hype the did over a good man dying

1. I've hated the History Channel ever since they started showing crap like The Deadilest Catch
and endless World War II programs and equally endless occult programs.

There are so many REAL history programs available from around the world that no alleged History Channel NEEDS to show reality show garbage or act as if history consists entirely of World War II.

BBC has excellent programs on European history and Japan has excellent programs on Asian history. Why not show some of those?

3. I saw the ads on the History channel,
but I watched "Deadliest Catch" on Discovery.

Even though I knew what was going to happen, it was still very sad. Did you watch "After the Catch" afterward? They had the Discovery cameraman on who spent the last 3 or 4 years filming Phil, including his final hours. Very poignant.

They also said that despite the small trailer he lived in, he still had a cleaning woman.

He also made very intricate bird houses that sold for $3K-$4K.

:hi:
