1. I saw that when it first aired on ABC Movie Of The Week.
Also have it on DVD.

A lot of ABC MOTW was pretty standard fare, but when I saw DUEL I knew I saw something special. Tight little thriller with some first rate camera work.

On the DVD Spielberg said he shot it in 12 or 13 days and it aired just a few weeks afterwards! A real testament to his craftsmanship.

you'd think Chrysler Motors would have jumped all over the free publicity- but no.
