but I heard the game was great.

Germany is third again in the soccer world, like 4 years ago. Our team can be proud of what they accomplished, young as they are.

The clock is counting up, not down, so I have no idea how long the game will be. Is there some kind of overtime? Can you tell I've never watched soccer before?

130. ironically, i dragged my parents in front of the TV to make them watch
the 2006 WC final...They were not in a rush to watch soccer ever again after that (and it took me about a week to explain the Zidane thing to them)

If that's when the striker is too far forward. Otherwise you could just park a player on the goal line with the goalie waiting for a pass to kick in.

56. 45 minutes each half
Which makes 90 minutes total, plus any injury-time as decided by the ref. If the game is a draw at full time, they go to extra time which is 15 mins a half. If after that they're still drawn, it goes on penalty kicks, 5 for each team.

and don't pay for the local channels, since we don't watch them. There are rare times when we do want to watch local channels - like the World Cup, but even that was mostly on ESPN.
