3. Interesting question.

Cybermen have removed any feeling, become cold machines, and when shown that it is terribly painful for them. Best comment was from Dr. Who, "do we have the right to do that", when talking about removing the emotional inhibitor, letting them feel again, but fearing for what they would see in the mirror.

While the Daleks hated there own humanity so much they got rid of all that it was to be human, till they became machines following wrong stuff.



But the Cyberman are brothers sisters aunts and uncles tricked into what they think of as an upgrade, and in the best Dalek episode, that one little guy just wanted to feel the sun on him again.
