I had a realy bad dream at about 2:00 this morning and
could not get back to sleep.
I cannot remember the first part of my dream, but I do remember that in my dream I laid down on my bed to take a nap and was awaken by a what I thought was a very loud, low flying jet. I then heard a huge explosion and saw a blinding flash. In my dream I thought, well they finally did it. I woke up crying and shaking. I cannot seem to lose that sick, scared feeling. I've been thinking about all the people around the world who experianced this as their last sights and sounds in this world, thanks to our government.
I really hate it when I start having scary, violent dreams. They usually go on for a few weeks and I get very little sleep during that time.

1. This won't make you feel better
Not to be too weirdy, but I'm known in my family and circle of friends for having dreams that are prophetic. A coupla days before 9-11, I had a vivid, three-dimensional dream of an American Airlines plane flying very low, right in front of me, and it crashed. I woke up screaming, sweating and crying and could not shake that dream. I hate it when we have dreams like this, because, what the heck can be done with it? I once dreamed about a mudslide in central America just hours before a killer mudslide occurred there. How would I have been able to use my dream to help anyone? I couldn't! I think it just means that maybe sometimes we're able to tap into the tension that is out there and some part of our brain makes connections, and sometimes those connections are all too accurate. I am so sorry that you're feeling disturbed, I hope that the feeling passes soon.

3. I have had some prophetic dreams myself.
Before deaths of people close to me, but when I start have very violent dreams it is usually right before something really bad happens. I also have know things would happen before they did. I am not into car racing, but I was watching TV one day and saw a commercial for an upcoming race where they showed a picture of Dale Earnhart (sp?). I said to my husband "he is going to die in that race." It kinda freaked my hubby out and he reminded me after Dale did indead die in that race that I had predicted it. It was really weird too, it wasn't like I saw it happen, just like I knew it.
I also knew about princess Di's death before it happened.

6. Holy crap... I had a similar dream!
Edited on Thu Aug-14-03 12:34 PM by The Night Owl
In the early morning on 9-11-2001, I dreamt I was on a plane and that it was making wild climbs and dives as it skimmed the hilly and grass covered terrain below. The dream was very vivid and visceral, so much so that it woke me up. I thought nothing of it when I woke up and I quickly fell back asleep. A few hours later, I awoke to a phone call... it was my girlfriend telling me that a plane or something had crashed into the WTC.

I am a very cynical person who does not believe in the supernatural, but I must say I was creeped out by this dream I had.

By the way, I live not far from where Flight 93 went down.

2. Could be that a jet was
flying over your house at 2 a.m. and triggered the dream.

4. I also have
prophetic dreams. I do NOT like them.It must be genetically handed down from my grandmother.

The kicker is that I don't know what they mean until after the event. Meaning I cannot place a time frame or specific place to the dream.

In Jan. of this year, I had a dream of an explosion in the sky. About a week later the shuttle exploded. I dreamed of my brother's death, though I couldnt tell it was him in the dream. The circumstances of his death are what I dreamed about. He died a few years later. So, it's difficult for me to know sometimes, but I am getting better.

The last dream to come true was of an old person causing a lot of crying, and he kept saying he was really sorry. Then a couple days later, that old man crashed into the market in CA.

It sux, because it aint NEVER good news...

5. yeah, I know what you mean
I kept having these dreams that I was making love to a beautiful woman with the softest hair you've ever felt.

Then I'd wake up and my cat would be PISSED and walking funny.

7. I had similar dreams before 9-11
I had several dreams in the week before about airline crashes. At the time, I was planning a trip to Europe (never went), so I thought it had something to do with that, especially since myself and the friends I was going with were on the plane. Still, pretty weird.

9. I think so too and am staying alert
It may just be BFEE inompetence (my bet) but it is still dangerous for many and may be something more worrisome.

I have had my share of premonition dreams .... so I believe that it is defintiely something to pay attention to and stay alert about.

But if you need sleep I recommend Hyland homeopathic nerve tonic, rescue remedy , kava kava and - to sleep - melatonin. and sleepytime or tension tamer tea or both.
