Edited on Wed Jul-07-10 05:20 PM by ColesCountyDem
Steak sandwiches, home fries, a tossed, mixed-greens salad, sweet tea and orange sherbet for dessert here.

1. here comes the nit-picking editor to tell ya...
...that the word is sherbet, not sherbert.

That aside, here it is shrimp cocktails and a chicken salad made with apples and fresh rainier cherries.

2. It's 'sherbet', dammit!
:grr:

Otherwise :-) , so long as you avoid yucky toppings like mustard on the sandwiches and creamy salad dressing.

10. Stew, believe it or not!
Our weather has been very uncharacteristically gloomy and not at all like summer here!

And I just felt like having a yummy comfort food dinner...

It was delicious!

A slice of banana bread for my dessert, and a chocolate chip cookie for my husband...

:D

11. My linguine with clam sauce, salad and fresh fruit.
One of our favorite dishes. With the A/C running, we're feeling cooler. Otherwise, we wouldn't have hot pasta at all...

17. poached cod with mango jalapeno salsa
cantaloupe and honeydew melon, tossed salad, cucumbers marinated in seasoned rice vinegar and for dessert Blackberry ice cream with Reese's choclate peanut butter hard shell topping. It is too hot today to use the stove. I'll poach the cod in my electric frying pan omitting heat from my stove.
