ever had a strange dream that just cracked you up?
Edited on Sat Mar-27-04 04:49 PM by Bertha Venation
I work at a law firm in Washington, DC, Patton Boggs. Last night I dreamed that Carl Karcher Enterprises (aka Carl's Jr. and Hardee's fast food) bought them out, retained all the staff -- legal secretaries like me, paralegals, mail room guys, receptionists, etc -- and fired all the lawyers! LMAO It was beautiful!

One of the perqs of the new job was that they delivered free snacks to every floor every now & then. The first round of snacks was yummy, sloppy toasted peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. PB & J -- its employees often refer to the firm as "PB."

God, that dream was so much fun.

Have you ever just had a hilarious dream that woke you laughing out of a dead sleep?

1. Yes
It really makes Hubby mad when I shake the bed because I'm laughing in my sleep. Gee, I wonder what that says about our mental status. :-)

2. Yes.
I had one about Kofi Annan and Arnold Schwarzenegger that was hilarious. Unfortunately, it was also obscene, so I can't describe it.

11. Ben's a nice guy --
says hello, anyway, when we meet in the hall. He's on my floor, and one of my best friends at work is his secretary. I used to work for one of Ben's underlings, who left the firm to become chief of staff on the Senate Rules Committee (under Lott). There are a lot of Republicans on my floor. Ben's guests are escorted directly past my desk on their way to his office and get an eyeful of my liberal propaganda.

I also used to work for one of the lead lawers on the Florida recount team. He's now Paul Bremer's IG -- but he didn't leave PB before getting to know me, his first gay friend, and learning that he'd been an ignorant bigot about us. Change happens one person at a time.

4. Yes.
Sometimes I am lucky and dream about my child when he was little. I could blow on his toes and we would both laugh and laugh.

Now he is 14, and we still can make each other laugh. But when I have those dreams, it is the very best feeling. I wake up in a great mood and go kiss his stinky feet. The stink is spectacular.

12. Yeah...even though a coworker was killed in the dream
I had a dream that I was eating dinner at a super fancy restaurant with a bunch of random people I know. From work, the store owner was there, along with the manager & the chef. The chef, in real life, is an "expert" on everything. So in the dream, someone had this massive python. And the chef is all like, "yo I'm like an expert on these things. I can deal with this clown." (He also likes to call everyone clowns and speaks with a Newark/Italian accent). So anyway, the snake kills him as he's showing off his "expert" snake handling skills.

I found it amusing. So did the store owner and manager when I told the story to them. I generally like the chef. We fight a lot but he fights with everyone. He just has issues with women. (Male chef is a nearly completely female-dominated store).

13. I once dreamed that I was moving stuff around in my living room...
...and, for some reason, kept dropping things. Each time I dropped something, I'd get angry and yell, "Jesus Christ!" At which point, a pissed off-looking Debby Boone would suddenly appear, whack me on the head with a pillow, and vanish!

After this happened three or four times, I woke up laughing hysterically.
