2. That is funny! The Sheltie is staying out of reach (smart dog)
I love it when the baby uses his/her pacifier in the middle of all those gales of laughter.

5. I noticed that too... VERY funny.
.
.
.
.
.
.
That baby was aware of just WHERE that pacifier was at all times -- at
one point is totally focused on the dog but reaches RIGHT to where the
pacifier is on the floor.
.
.
.
.
But did you notice at the very end -- when the dog started to kiss --
that the pacifier was left behind unthought of?
.
.
.
.
Nothin' like a little love to give one confidence.

3. Aww, that was adorable!!
MFM, I haven't told you lately how funny I find your posts. I still have the "Long-suffering Dog" on my "Favorites" list, just for looking at when I need a laugh. Thanks!!

6. Thank you very much, kimi...
.
.
.
.
...a very good friend of mine said something very similar to me this
morning. My reply?
.
.
.
.
It's my job, ma'am.
.
.
.
.
I know the value of laughter and I love being able to help facilitate
that for people.
.
.
.
.
I do wish that people who get a good laugh or smile out of them would
kick them more often for others. I don't ask questions prompting a
response (usually not, anyway) so these often blaze right on through
the front page and are gone (I can hardly ever get beyond the front
page when looking at threads).
.
.
.
.
But thank you -- it's nice to KNOW that people enjoy them.

8. I really do, and I want you to know that!
I always know that the "MiddleFingerMom" posts are going to be either funny, enlightening, or just plain sensible.

Just want you to know that!! :)

Thanks for the giggles, MFM! I just love the sound of a little kid laughing like that.

7. I'm glad you liked it...
.
.
.
.
.
...sometimes I think that no matter WHAT age we are, we may
be closest to being at one with the Universe when we laugh
that hard.
.
.
.
.
.
Once I was driving with a friend to a radio conference in
Utah when he put in a CD of what sounded like a Christian
recording from the 50's (though many of the fundies seem
to be frozen in a wannabe state longing for that era, so
it's hard to say). It was "theatre" about a boy who lied
to his parents and, for his punishment, instead of GETTING
a spanking with the belt, he had to spank his Dad with it.
.
Well, the boy was crying and the Dad sounded like he was
reaching higher and higher planes of ecstacy by exhorting
him to, "BEAT ME!!! WHIP ME!!! HARDER!!! HARDER, SON!!!
PUNISH ME FOR YOUR SINS!!! BEAT ME BEAT ME BEAT ME!!!
"
.
.
.
This went on for what seemed like forever until I was
laughing so hard I was literally crying and I actually
almost drove us off the Interstate at 70 MPH. I had to
pull over and make him promise not to play that again
while I was driving.
.
I've lost the CD he made for me after that... and I just
WISH I could find that recording online somewhere.
.
That and the recipe for Tomato l'Orange Soup that
I lost many years ago -- from scratch with fresh tomatoes --
the best thing I have ever cooked... and I was quite the
foodie for a while. I've found SIMILAR recipes for "Tomato
and Orange Soup" -- but none compare to the "l'Orange" one.
