I just started watching The Road, just how sad does this movie get.

there's some positive things you can focus on at the end though... if you let your mind take you there.

I think it will depress you if you're in a certain state of mind tonight. I wasn't really depressed, I was just left in a contemplative and kind of numb state. Stuck with me all night.

8. You should read the book

It's actually more graphic and disturbing than the movie but it gets into the philosophical aspects of the story, which are enlightening and, I think, somewhat more hopeful. I read the book a few years ago and I still think about it often.

The movie was a sincere effort at an adaptation, but ultimately it fell somewhat short IMO.
