Filipino singing sensation Charice Pempengco will join the cast of Glee next season, the Advocate reports.

After denying rumors of being cast, the 18-year-old tweeted news of her new role on Monday afternoon.Pempengo will play a foreign exchange student who challenges resident perfectionist Rachel Berry.

Named “the Most Talented Girl in the World” by Oprah Winfrey, Charice is the first Asian to debut in the Top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 album charts.
