Office 2010 64 bit vs 32 bit

My Windows 7 machine is 64 bit. Many folks will tell you 64 bit doesn't mean squat. They will tell you it gives you no performance increase. IN many cases, this is right.

But with some apps, specifically those written with a 64bit code base in mind, you do get a performance increase. Office 2010 is one of those apps.

Sure, you lose some of the toolbars, but MS Word comes up RIGHT AWAY. I tried the 32 bit install first, and it took a good minute or two. 64 bit version, boom, its up and running right away.

The same goes for any 64 bit app (Namoroka, IE x64, SyncToy)
