I'm sorry, but Amber Alerts are ridiculous.

The way they roll them out just annoy people to the point where they don't pay attention to them after a while.

We've been having an Amber Alert here in SLC since 10:30 a.m. when some woman reported a little blonde-headed girl being pulled into a car driven by a Hispanic-looking man.

Shocking if true. We needed to be told about this. But nothing new has happened. No one has even reported a little girl missing. This Amber Alert has been going non-stop, every fifteen minutes for sixty seconds on every single station.

I took a nap, put my TV on mute and the damn thing even un-muted my television! Then I'm watching the NBA Finals...final seconds left and it cuts out for the Amber Alert.

They need to re-work this because frankly, I just don't see how effective it is to be blaring that non-stop for an entire day when no new details have been reported.

All we know is the girl is blonde, around eight and wearing a dress. The woman didn't even get the license plate number on the car and couldn't see her eye color. This whole thing is based on some woman witnessing what she thought was a kidnapping.

Maybe I'm just a prick. Which is probably true. But damn.

We have to blare that every few minutes to remind us that when a white girl goes missing, the nations stops to help find her!!!!!!!!
