1. Decades ago, a group of friends and I made plans to go to Great Adventure...
.
...but when the greatly anticipated day arrived, the weather forecast
was dismal-dismal-dismal-dismal -- virtually 100% chance of heavy rains
all day.
.
.
.
We decided to go anyways -- figured there's ALWAYS the Jersey Shore
to go to -- first all-you-can-eat crabs and then dancing in the rain to
nothing but the music of the ocean. It would NOT have been any kind of
disappointment in the least.
.
.
.
By the time we reached the park, the clouds had blown away and it was
one of the most beautiful and temperate summer days you could hope for.
.
.
.
We weren't QUITE as alone as the Griswold's at WallyWorld... but the vast
majority of people who might have been there had apparently made other
plans.
.
.
.
A fantastic day.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Just have a relief pitcher of a plan for your day warmed up in the bullpen.

3. Well, the clouds finally broke up shortly at the start of the game
and we enjoyed a rain-free day there. Wasn't even cold despite the 55 degree forecast.

Now we have a little bit of rain. For that, it was worth the trip - Rox swept the Jays!
