awww. Just saw a Cardinal dadday feeding his two nearly grown-up baybay's

They were on the porch railing under the bird feeder.

I've seen the couple from time to time ever since the spring....he courted her on our front lawn...

I feel like I was blessed to witness the completion of a circle.

One of the babies just flew up to the feeder on it's own. :loveya:

1. On of them moved back into the nest after she was laid off from her job.
The other one still lives in the basement & never left.

2. I really didn't know that some birds continued to feed the babes after the "fledge"
I guess it makes sense that they would teach them where the food came from.
