Uncommon activities you like to do
Mine:

making lists (not just busywork lists like shopping lists) - you can tell by my crush list and favorite music artist list. I think I'm going to give up on creating topics for my music artist lists, because I can't get large participation. But I'll have it ready for when the opportunity comes up. I also usually post my crush list only when the opportunity comes up. I have more lists in the making.

following the weather (not just when I have plans)

keeping up on computer security products (they've become a hobby)

creating polls

5. Why make lists?
1) Organizes thoughts
2) Those numbers to the left are very satisfying
3) Beats writing on your hand
4) A feeling that you did something

3. Visit very old graveyards and take pics
I love using my pinhole camera and try to get a mood.
My friends think I'm morbid or crazy. I'm neither. I just see a beauty in it.

and then make labels for the DVDs and write down in a notebook what is on the DVDs.. :)

7. I've done this...
only mine are on a bunch of VHS tapes. I've got like 30 tapes in all. It's a hassle though and it takes a little too much time bk I don't like them to have commercials and so I have to be there to stop and start the tape at the right times in order for it to work out.

9. I've done it with VHS too
I have a whole mess of VHS tapes..but they take up alot of space.

Also like you mentioned w/ editing out the commericals; w/ VHS there's always a lag from when you press record to when the tape actually starts rolling..but w/ the DVD recorder it starts/stops instantly. Also you can 'pause recording'..so it keeps your recording in one block segment sans commercials. And if you mess up and accidently record a bunch of commericals..you can take them out. :)

6. I follow the weather and surf conditions...
..I haven't surfed in a while, but I do like to know how the waves are each day around the world.

I used to have a paradox collection, too, but I lost it.

18. The reality is that I'm pretty boring.
I can't think of anything truly unusual that I do even occassionally, let alone regularly.

15. Another thing..
at least for a male - a lot of men watch soap operas, but it's still not common. I have quite a few of my crushes from soaps. No, I'm not giving my lists out this time - many posters probably know them by heart by now. :-) Hopefully, I've given people names to check out if they hadn't already.

My work doesn't require a whole lot of hours, either, so I have time for these things.

16. Metal detecting for old coins and artifacts
I've got a couple hundred coins dating as far back as 1826, and lots of 19th century relics including military uniform buttons from the Civil War and earlier.
It's a kick...
