Great customer service from Netflix.
I was watching Ken Burns: The Civil War on Netflix streaming video and when I got to episode 7 there was no audio and so I reported it online to Netflix. This was the email I received from them:

We're sorry you may have had trouble watching instantly via your Roku Streaming Player

Dear elocs,

Recently, you may have had trouble instantly watching movies or TV episodes via your Roku Streaming Player.

We are sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused. If you were unable to instantly watch a movie or TV episode via your Roku Streaming Player, click on this account specific link in the next 7 days to apply your 5% credit to your next billing statement for your 1 DVD out at-a-time (Unlimited) plan. Credit can only be applied once.

Again, we apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding. If you need further assistance, please call us at 1-866-923-0898.

I certainly wish that the customer service of other places was a good and as responsive as Netflix. Netflix is hands down the best entertainment value for the dollar that I have ever had. I highly recommend it.

2. Do you like the Roku? been thinking about getting one.
I never take advantage of the "watch now" features on Netflix because I don't want to sit and watch a movie on my puter.

3. I love it. It allows me to stream the videos in HD on my 50" plasma.
I never watch Netflix streaming video through my computer even though I have a 28" monitor. This way I can watch what I want on Netflix on my plasma while still surfing the web from my recliner on my monitor.

Also, with Roku there are lots of other channels other than just Netflix.

6. I have my Roku box hooked up to 2 other tvs in the house, in other bedrooms
so I can watch there also. You cannot watch different things on one Roku, but with Netflix you can watch one thing on the computer and a different thing on the Roku. The Roku is great also for Amazon streaming videos that you can rent or buy and they always have special deals on the weekends.

4. I thought it was just me.
I'm streaming the same series from Netflix on my TiVo and there was much gnashing of teeth when the silent episode 7 rolled around. I let Netflix know in the course of reviewing the series, but didn't contact customer support directly, so no 5% for me. Still, maybe they'll fix the episode soon. It's a great series.

7. It's fixed. I watched it last night.
That 5% amounts to only about 60 cents, but it's the thought that counts. If you have a problem with the streaming video just click on the report a problem and that lets them know.
