The days are starting to...

run together. I don't have anything good to report on my Dad. Week 3, after his triple bypass. I'm starting to feel like his is in a torture chamber instead of a hospital. My younger sis convinced the doc's to stop the Coumadin, but only after SIX blood transfusions.

My father now has an inflated balloon and gauze (sutured to the inside of his nose) and they haven't removed either yet. My older sister (the nurse) confessed to me yesterday that she allowed my father be part of "a study using a new drug during surgery..." I'm too tired to be angry, too angry to be at peace, to stressed to be worthwhile... and hating modern medicine more than ever.

Could you allow yourself to go to a movie or something? Just a couple hours to get your mind relaxed and thinking of something else?
You need to take care of yourself also.

It's so insane it's to the point of ridiculous. Now my father is refusing any more Coumadin. I could go on about the family dynamics & the doctor who will not find another solution, but it's a little unbelievable right now... and I can't even write it out so it would make sense.
