Pretty good game. This Bryant kid might have a future in the NBA

1. I thought it was a damn good game until 3:30 left in the 4th quarter
My DVR cut off.. I work in a hermetically sealed office near downtown L.A., no phones/handhelds, no outside internet, and I ride the metro subway home so I had to rely on my DVR. Sigh...

3. I live in Manhattan Beach, the Green Line ends about 1/2 mile from my house in Redondo Beach.
It's more light rail then subway, but I like saying subway.

5. It depends on your definition of "soon".

There are many interests fighting it, plus the costs are horrendous, but hopefully we will see a line down the Wilshire corridor to Santa Monica Beach, and interlinking with the San Gabriel Valley, West Hills, Ontario, Orange County, that is only a start.

I have used our system since it opened almost twenty years ago when ever I can, but it lacks meaningful coverage of Los Angeles' huge area. Someday my friend, someday.

On Edit: This map does not include the Gold Line, which runs north from downtown through China Town to Pasadena, and to east to what else, East L.A. What really pissed me off was a Westside City Councilman Zev Yarslovsky (sp?) whom I used to think highly of fought the expansion to East L.A., a working class predominately Latino area, along with the usual racist assholes from from the Valley.

Peace

6. Lakers need two; Celtics, three.
But "officially" I'm not taking sides.

It's just too contentious.

Besides, I have a soft spot for Boston area teams; me and my buddies used to go to the Garden and Fenway.

(Nice sun dress.)

7. "Pretty good" if you like incompetence
Last night Ray Allen couldn't hit water if he fell out of a fucking boat in the middle of the Atlantic.

I'd hate to see the Lakers win another championship, as tiresome as their fans are, but I think I'd hate seeing Rasheed Wallace coat-tail his way to a second career title when he's already got one too many.

9. Ron Harper has more championships than
John Stockton
Karl Malone
Clyde Drexler
Charles Barkley

...combined. I don't care about Rasheed Wallace, although I don't like him either. But I quite like Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo; don't mind seeing them win. I really don't have a dog in this race, though; I don't care who wins. I just want it to go seven games. And then I want to see all these superstars leaving it all on the court on that final night; 'twill be a thing to remember.

And then the offseason fun begins, and it's going to be VERY interesting.
