Name the Album

artist/album

The I miss record albums thread got me thinking of a great bit of reminiscing we can do. Of course I'm starting with one nobody ever bought. Except me and everyone I knew in '71-'72. This is the open inside canvas of a double album.

16. This is the Buddy Miles Express LP, yes?
Edited on Fri Mar-26-04 09:25 PM by DancingBear
Not the one entitled "Them Changes" - that one (if MY damaged memory holds) was a single LP, and had a picture of Buddy with his giant 'fro sitting at his drum kit on the front cover.

That may still be sitting in one of the many LP boxes that lurk around here, but I have a feeling I sold it to someone in Japan...

edit: I still can't forgive Buddy for ruining the Muddy Waters "Fathers And Sons" LP when he came onstage and took over the drum kit from Sam Lay!

19. Is this a double LP - or just a gatefold?

Mine (released on Mercury) is a single gatefold LP. Was there a re-issue (or second pressing) of this LP, I wonder? I am tempted to say there were two album covers - one very slick, the other kind of "grainy" - both with Buddy sitting at the drums.

Then again, there were these hallucinogens... :)
