2. My wife's best friend from high school managed a McD's. Read on.

Sometime in the 80's, a decree came down from on high that on a certain date, at a certain time (adjusted for time zones), every McD's in the world would switch from putting the onions on a hamburger on the side with the mustard and ketchup to the dry side. The reason is simple - people bitched about goo-covered onion pieces dripping on their outfits. Within minutes, every McD's in the world made the switch. If California gets arugula, Arizona would - never mind - Oregon would want it, Washington would want it - it would be anarchy!
