Loungers in relationships: How often do you see you significant other in person?

And is it more often or less often than you would like, or just right? And how close do they live to you? I see my girlfriend about once a week on average, and would love to see her more often! She lives about 45 miles away.

1. About every 20 seconds when I'm not at work.

I've been married for 17 years, and we have a small apartment.

but there was a time when I was seeing someone who lived about the same distance away from me that you are from your SO. The in-person was about weekly, the rest was by email and phone. All in all it was good.

I'm stuck working in Canada most of the time and she is stuck working in Texas most of the time. We would love to see more of each other, but neither of us really have the time right now. Fortunately both of us are always flying for work so we have the GDP of a medium sized country in frequent flier miles.

We're in a long distance relationship, but we've been together for over 3 years.

Sometimes once during the week. She lives about 40 miles way. That works well for me.

I see her when I'm not working or in transit, but in truth I spend some of that time alone on the computer or in the garage. It has kind of worked itself out to a level where we're both comfortable. We both have the ability to sense when it's best to leave the other some space, and we use that ability. If we had not, I am sure we'd never have made it this long.

Once a week, when one has, um, passionate feelings!, is not nearly enough. I had to see my fiance (I proposed two weeks after I met her and never regretted it) two or three times a week, even if we couldn't do much more than "see" each other. We too were over 40 miles apart. I bet y'all text one another often, or phone a lot - we did!

18. I would love to see and talk to her a lot more than I do. She is sort of the opposite of me in that

area. I guess we're sort of working that out. Crazy thing is, we work within a few miles from each other, but on different schedules.

She lives about 2 minutes away from my house, but our schedules are different and we both like our own 'downtime' so we spend about 4 solid days a week together.

sometimes that is far far too often (actually sometimes once a day is too often) and other times not enough. after 20 years of marriage and a couple of dating i guess it is expected.

Sucks, in my opinion, but he's fine with it. He works over 50 hours a week, often not getting home until 2:00am, and his days off are almost always weekdays. Sometimes I forget that I'm in a relationship.

17. I feel that way too sometimes. I would like to see her and talk to her a lot more than I do. I think

she'd be fine with a lot less. Once a week is our compromise I think.

We've been married for sixteen years, and we live in the same house.

I enjoy his company. We spend every night together, and a few hours during the days.
