They stand straight up on top of her head instead of hanging down to the sides. Really makes me laugh sometimes when she looks my way. :rofl:

What kind of dog is your dog? I've never been able to figure mine out but they could be twins.

8. She's supposed to be

half black lab, half border collie. The ears are making me wonder, tho.

She's only two and a half months old at the moment, and doesn't look like she's going to get as big as our older black lab mix.

12. Border collie heeler mix

Markings are mostly Border collie, but she has a heeler skull, and heeler speckles/merle on feet and face. Mixed breeds of this nature smoke the pure breed working dogs in the smarts department, hands down. She actually attended a university for a bit; she worked at the dairy sciences center at UCD while she was waiting to be adopted. She was a twice rescued girl with very special needs - we passed the screening when they discovered we've had nothing but crazy working dogs.

This photo is of a "Texas Heeler" which looks very much like mine except mine has black instead of brown, and two brown eyes.

I rescued my dog but she must have spent her early years on a farm or ranch because she just LOVES cows and horses, even when she sees them on TV. Smart, absolutely!

14. Our late Billie was a blue heeler cattle dog mix and had that same watch eye

My BIL, a Texan, noted that she had 'something' that strongly reminded him of a Texas 'King ranch' dog. I wonder if the King ranch was the force that initially developed the Texas heeler.
