1. I wish I could meet a gay man like her to date
Edited on Wed Jul-09-03 12:40 PM by roughsatori
I told my brother that the other day, and he said "she's too old."
He told me that woman are old after 35. I reminded him that his wife is 41. He begged me not to tell his wife that he said that woman were "old" after 35. I plan to barter with him for my silence.

2. Good plan...
...I dunno about the 'old' barrier. I know lots of hot older women (lucky for them I'm happily married!). "old" really is a state of mind.

But being naturally gorgeous from day one doesn't hurt!

4. I admire her so much
She is smart, talented, informed, articulate--those things are erotic to me.

8. She's an actress
She played the part extremely well. The movie I think you're referring is 'White Palace'?

10. hey!
I'm 35 and I still get carded. Maybe in his experience women after 35 are old because they've been around him.

What a loser.

(Sorry, I know he's your brother, but that is just so shallow. didn't he ever think one of his friend's mothers was hot? If so, she was probably "old".)

12. LOL, I can be honest that a brother is a loser
but not for thinking that--many men do. So do women's mags, sit coms and the culture at large. Of course men will sleep with hot woman over 35. They will just say "she's hot for an old woman" when talking to other men."

14. I'd say mostly stupid men would not be able to see
the "35" limit is a product of the media.

Would they honestly even consider age if they had the chance to sleep with one of these women:

Nicole Kidman
Demi Moore
Heather Lockleer
Diane Lane
Sela Ward
Andie McDowell
Michelle Pfeiffer
Pamela Anderson
Sharon Stone

15. Those 9 women look nothing like the 35 year olds I see

on the city streets. They, with all their plastic surgery and botox have helped re-enforce the "35 years is old" mentality. Of course, many men will tell a woman over 35 that she looks "hot" just to get her in bed. I have known brilliant men who prefer their women under 30.

16. "Old" after 35???
No f'n way!

Because of the messages we get in this society, I used to worry about getting older, but after doing a 32-year-old guy last week, I stopped worrying. (I'm a 48-year-old woman.)

3. She's ten years to the day older than I am (and, yeah, hot)
She's more beautiful now than ever. Tim Robbins is one lucky guy.
John
Alicia Silverstone, BTW, is twenty years to the day YOUNGER than I am. I also share my Oct 4 birthday with Buster Keaton and Charlton Heston. Must be something about the date that inspires actors -- the ONLY class I got an "A" in during all my junior high school years was "Auditorium," which was all about acting and stagecraft.
Of course, I skipped a lot (51 straight days at one point).
John
Dad tanned my ass when I got caught. It would be "child abuse" today but I sincerely can't blame the guy for going postal.

9. Yup...
Lots about her involvement with "Madre" in Nicaragua, Pro-Choice activism, getting arrested in NYC, and against GW1. This bio was from '99, so it wasn't specifically about her latest efforts.

Very interesting, though.
