Rip Torn back in court for Conn. bank break-in
http://www.newstimes.com/news/article/Rip-Torn-back-in-court-for-Conn-bank-break-in-498066.php

LITCHFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Actor Rip Torn is due to return to a Connecticut courtroom to face burglary and gun charges filed against him after police say he broke into a bank after hours while he was drunk, thinking it was his home.

The 79-year-old Emmy award winner has pleaded not guilty to trespassing, carrying a gun while intoxicated, carrying a gun without a permit, burglary and criminal mischief. He is scheduled to appear Tuesday in Litchfield Superior Court.

Police say he broke into a Salisbury (SAHLS'-berry) bank Jan. 29 while highly intoxicated, thinking it was his home in the rural northwestern Connecticut town.

A Connecticut judge last week dismissed a 2008 drunken-driving charge against the "Men in Black" actor after Torn completed a court-ordered alcohol education program.

..snip

He thought the bank was his home? Uhhh. Odd house or he was really hammered.

:wow:
