In "honor" of Sex and the City 2, back to the eternal question: Big or Aidan?

1. You have to ask?

It's Aidan by a mile. He's much better looking than Mr.Big, artistic, compassionate and fair. And Big is getting bald. (My apologies to all the bald men on DU; my husband is bald but still incredibly sexy).

2. No question. Big.

Followed the whole series, saw the first flick, and just knowing Aidan pops back in makes me not want to see 2.

Never thought Aidan was suited for Carrie. I thik he represented something she thought she should try to want to be. I don't think he was a bad person, just thta his type was not suited for her type.

But I say this as someone who had a Big and an Aidan, and went back & forth over each, and utliamtely went with and stayed with my Big, because my Aidan and I weren't suited to each other long term.

I only saw part of Sex and the City. A bunch of straight women acting like stereotypes of gay men.

I could never understand what he saw in her. She didn't share any of his interests.

Big is an asshole and turned Carrie into an asshole. She's welcome to him. I kind of lost all interest in the show after season 4 (although Mikhail Baryshnikov was OK).

I'll take Aidan. Please.

9. Aidan is the gorgeous, perfect gentleman

and he's a dog person too. Carrie treated him like crap and she doesn't deserve someone as wonderful as him. She deserves "Big the Pig".

My admittedly broadbrush stereotype is that men who likes cats are more secure, less overtly trying to be "macho," and more intelligent, liberal, and funny.
