anyone remember Al Franken's sitcom "Lateline"
it only ran for one season, if I'm remembering correctly.

I've been hoping to see it turn up on cable for years.

too bad it hasn't.

1. Not enough episodes to bother with syndication.
I don't think that there was even a full season worth of episodes. From what I've heard- to be considered realistically viable for syndication, a show has to have 100 or more episodes.

2. I'm not necessarily talking about syndication
the Ben Stiller Show didn't have 100 episodes but I've seen a few of them on Comedy Central every now & then.

...Al miscast himself as a bumbling buffoon, which we all know he ISN'T -- and he wasn't very good trying to act like one, either.

Ah, if only he had O'Reilly to emulate back then. :silly:
