David Lynch Fans: Why do you think he won't go forward with a remastered, complete, uncut version
of TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME, that according to rumor has been promised or forthcoming for years now.

Any rumors about this DVD? Is it coming? Is this rumor real or just BS?

Thanks in advance for any posts. I am in the minority of Lynch fans who think this is one of his greatest films, I guess.

1. I've always understood that Lynch doesn't enjoy revisiting his past work.
He derives little artistic or financial satisfaction from such reworkings, so he avoids them.

At least, that's what I heard when we all were waiting years and years for Twin Peaks on DVD.

It's also apparently why the DVD of Mulholland Drive are so shitty, lacking even such basic features as chapter selection.

3. Not a Lynch fan, but FWWM was one of his best
One of the more uncompromising, haunting American films dealing with the brutalization of children. The lead performance was absolutely astonishing.

5. I'm a HUGE David Lynch fan. IMO his trademark is to leave his
audience coming to their own conclusion regarding what the Hell happened in the film. I think revisiting any of his past movies just isn't who he is....but who knows.

6. I
I wish he would. I heard a rumor about 10 years ago he was going to bring TWIN PEAKS to HBO and shoot new episodes to wrap it up. Turned out to be nothing more than a rumor, but for a few days I was on cloud nine.
