The cat—named Renesmee, after the baby in Twilight—ended up giving Jackie 35 bite marks and 15 huge bruises, and sending her to the hospital. KIDK has the details:

Esther was growling and hissing at another cat outside the window and I made the mistake of trying to push Esther away. Esther turned her attack on me and I got a couple nasty scratches.

Now of course it wasn't ANYWHERE near as bad as the attack on that woman, but her cat was defending her liter and they ALWAYS say not to get in between an animal and its young.
