what constitutes a 'clean' driving record?

looking for any crappy job i can get. some require a clean driving record, i'm sure for insurance driving co. vehicles.

no tickets ever? or is there a cut-off period. my last ticket was 12/05.

1. 2005 is probably okay.

Speeding is one thing. DUI, reckless, etc is another.

2. In general, no points or accidents

If you no longer have points on your license and haven't been in an accident recently, then you're usually 'clean'. It depends on the state though. For example, it's 3 years for an accident, regardless of fault, in Ohio. Some states keep a DUI on your record forever, so your rates would always be higher. I would guess that you're clean, but it depends on how many tickets and if they were more than speeding. When you're pricing insurance, feel free to ask the agents. They should know off the top of their heads.

3. I wold think that 1 ticket four years ago would be "clean" if they otherwise want you
