The movies do have subtitles but I didn't find that a problem.

Bliss

Turtles Can Fly

These are not happy movies but worth watching.

"MOON" from an earlier recommendation here on DU. It was very good movie.

...Let the Right One In?

Instant and with subtitles. Like the ones you mentioned, it's not a happy movie. But it's so... touching (and a little strange).
