Did South Park episode 201 air tonight?
9:00 PDT is the normal hour. The guide lists episode 201 but a rerun in on. Did they cave?

5. I saw it here
in the Central time zone (Chicago area). In addition to putting a huge "Censored" bar over Mohammed, they also bleeped out his name. Also, the "lesson" at the end (delivered by Kyle, Jesus and Santa Claus) was censored (long bleeps).

It seems this was some kind of gametime decision. We have the closed captioning on, and until the first commercial break, the captioning used the word "Mohammed" while the audio just bleeped it out. After that break, the captioning started using the word "bleep" in parenthesis.

If anyone wants to know what happened, included the true ID of Cartman's dad, I'd be happy to share.

7. From Matt and Trey on Southparkstudios.com
In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it.
