1. Epiphone SG Express clone and Luthier Folk Cedar

I have small hands, hence smaller guitars. Still trying to find a decent amp within my tiny, tiny budget. Thinking about a Roland Cube or 77.

2. Aw. C'mon! There gotta be more players!
Like the strat much better than the tele. Can't play a LP -- too damned heavy. My baby SG clone is kind of too cute, but unless I experience some major hand growth, I'm stuck with the small scale Git-Tars. A real SG would be too much guitar for me.

Damn that Strat looks shiny and new. Would be a shame to scratch up that pickguard.

You need more than one!

I'd mention though that his hands are not in the Vai/Gilbert/Hendrix endowment category.

Yngwie has fat fingers.

And this kid had kid fingers and could(can) shred like few alive: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdgACLA2vO0

He burst on the (YouTube)scene as an 8 year old (perhaps 9). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ok3EjsCmIu0&feature=related

Lil' bastard.

This kid is 16ish - playing "Get the Funk Outta My Face" (yeah, bassist) Funk

This kid covered "Back in Black" in the most awesomeist way BiB

And Derek Trucks started touring when he was what, 11ish?

9. Those Kids Are Too Old!
LOL.

I know, I should be buried and dead--but really, kids these days are--if they are keen--are light years beyond that.

Look at this (different)lil' punk playing
Petrucci's Glasgow Kiss. Guitar is bigger than he is. (a few sour notes, so what? he can pwn me.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAYtWGAT8f0

And the Roland Cube is a good choice. lots of effects, and a great clear channel that you can play with pedal effects and the onboard effects. Sounds good for non-tube. Not gonna rip heads off, but hey.

10. Hey! They're kids to me! ;-)
Love videos of the wee ones! And, yeah, the neck on my clone is actually smaller than the one on my small acoustic, so I'm getting it. It's killing me not having a decent amp. Painful!

Oh, and I like the Funk kid b/c he's making The Face as he plays. The lip biting face. LOVE!

One-third the weight of a Les Paul at a third of the price, with the added glory of P-90 pickups. Plug into a Vox AC30CC and the resulting Beatle Chimes slay legions of Blue Meanies.

That's why I got the LP jr instead of a full, LP. It's a lot lighter, my lower back just won't take a heavy guitar standing on stage anymore.

46. Ah, the stage.
Been there twice (both times sitting in for a friend playing cover tunes in a bar band) and it's everything and more than I imagined it'd be. It's fun being the best, if only for a few hours...lol.

Mostly I just stand in my bedroom or the garage. But yeah, heavy guitar. And if I play it for any significant length of time, I can feel it all night and the next day in my left shoulder.

a parts Telecaster, with a Gibson P90 at the neck, 3 SG's, one of them an Epiphone version of the '61 SG/Les Paul Custom, one an older Samik Korean version of the SG Les Paul and one Jay Turser SG Special (for sale!!! Cheap!). Also have a Gibson Les Paul Special which I am stripping down to the mahogany - I have to get used to the neck on this one - it is very fast!!

Also have 2 basses, 2 playable acoustics and about 10 harmonicas.

Sold a few off right after my daughter was born to pay off bills, but currently I have:

My main ax, a 1987 Strings n Things "Saint Blues" with emg sa pickups . It's basically a very high quality "strat" with binding.

recently acquired Epiphone Les Paul junior, I love this little guitar.

I also have an old Hofner 12 string acoustic, don't have a pic for it.

And then of course, amps. These are a few of the amps I've acquired over the years

21. When I had the band late 80's - early 90's...
.
...I used to write the lyrics and our lead guitarist worked with me
and wrote the music. When he left, I taught myself guitar so that I
could keep writing. I never played WELL... but I absolutely LOVED to
play.
.
I had a kind of monotonous Bo Diddly style of strumming and would
play for myself up to 4-5 hours a day until I gave myself bursitis
(at a relatively young age!!!) in my strumming shoulder.
.
AGONY!!! Steroids. Hard to use that arm. Had to quit playing for
months and never got back into it.
.
I had a cheap Korean no-name acoustic that some roommate in college
had left behind.
.
It sounded just beautiful to me.
.

28. No pictures but I have a bunch of guitars.
I mostly play mandolin these days & own a Pomeroy F5 & Eastman 814 (oval hole)

My favorite guitar is a 1962 Fender Strat I inherited a couple of years ago. lots of sentimental value there. It's sort of collectable but since I'll never sell it...Most of its stock component are in storage since is was a real gigging guitar.
I have 2 other strats. a made in mexico and an early 80's japanese Squier.
2 Telecasters
a Les Paul Recording - it's the model he liked to play with hi/ low impedance switching etc
a Gibson ESD-150 hollow body
a Danelectro 12 string
a Melobar lap steel with old Joe Barden pickups
a Beard Road-o-Phonic acoustic electric resonator.
a National Baritone Tri-cone, it's # 49 & was designed by Bob Brozman and the guy I inherited it from
a National Delphi resonator
a Bear Creek Hawaian
an Ivan Gurensey resonator
A Patrick & Stewart acousitc/electric 12 string
An old Epiphone 12 string
an Alvarex 6 string
a Guild 6 string
a custom made spanish guitar

I've got a Matchless Clubman amp, a Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue, DeVille 2x12, 65 Bassman, 15 watt Crate, a very old Vox Pathfinder.
This is what can happen if you never sell any of your instruments.

30. The one I use most often is a Schecter C-1 Classic.
Looks like this:

I like the sound that I get from the Duncan 59 in the neck and the JB in the bridge. Also the neck-thru, string-thru design provides plenty of sustain.

I also have a nice Guild jumbo acoustic guitar (w/ Fishman electronics) that I'm rather fond of.

Very simple rig. One knob for volume. One pickup.

Plays like a dream.

And I just bought the Line 6 Pocket Pod effects processor and amp modeler, then teamed it up with CakeWalk recorder/mixer.

Still learning it all and am having the time of my life.

37. Well...
I have a Squire Strat, made in Mexico, a Korean Les Paul knock off, called an Austin, a Stigma, oops, I mean a Sigma, which is a plywood Korean (made for) Martin, and I just got a cheap real Martin, a DR, which I really like. For amps I have a Fender G-DEC Jr. which is cool, and a Princeton 65, both solid state, and a really cool 9v toy which gets a growl when the battery gets weak. I'm glad I lived with the Les money, as the git tech calls it, so I realized I don't want a real one. I figure I'll upgrade to an American Strat and a Blues Junior eventually. I don't understand the concept of one guitar.

Full disclosure: the acoustics are mine, the electric and the Ramirez are my husband's. He played classical guitar at NC School of the Arts. He's way beyond good.

I'm a hack in comparison but there's a smoothness to the sound of the Ovation that I love. It just works for the type of music I play.
