Question about one of my favorite songs: Sinead O'Connor 'Nothing Compares 2 U
Edited on Thu Apr-15-10 07:52 PM by Mike 03
On XM Satellite channel 202 (The Virus, Ron and Fez) today, I learned that Sinead O'Connnor had "disowned" her beautiful song "Nothing Compares 2 U." As a huge fan of this song, I just wanted to post and see if others were upset about this.

I would love to know whether this song is about a "lover" or her Mother. When I listen to the lyrics, quite honestly, it seems to be about her mother.

It is such a beautiful, artful, sincere song, I hate to see her "disown" this work of art, and I would love to know what others here think of Sinead O'Connor's song "Nothing Compares 2 U."

3. Yup. It's a Prince cover, but I think he asked her to record it
If you wanna hear a great Sinead O'Connor song, listen to Thief of Your Heart.

5. The Lion & the Cobra is way up on my list of best albums of all
time. Some of the tunes are genius. I think Nothing Compares to U is the song she'll be remembered for. Prince may have written it but her delivery is so haunting it's unexplainable.
