Of your driveway without looking, or do you look?

I have a bad habit of just pulling out without looking.

But I do live on a non-busy street. So there is hardly any traffic up there (I'm at the top of a circle).

I look...I live in suburbia with huge SUVs...I'd get creamed in my little bitty Yaris!

I'm also so paranoid about backing into my neighbor across the street as they leave, too! Had one close call already...

3. i have a long

driveway. so i hit the gas, reversing pretty fast to end of driveway and about then remember to stop and look. good thing a number of times. street not real busy, and 90% of the time no cars.... but, there has been that 10% when a car is coming.

Not just for cars, but for pedestrians on the sidewalk.

I couldn't live with myself if I hit a kid backing out of my driveway.

7. If I don't look, I will get hit

I live on a short street that SHOULD be quiet, but it's bounded on each end by busy streets that meet a block and a half away at an angle...so, people are always using our street to cut across and save a whole 30 seconds :eyes:

That and the idiots across the street like to park their vehicles directly across from my driveway :wtf:

I mean, I know the street is wide enough and all, but why chance it?

I hate that it's a little more tougher to wrench your neck backwards to make sure the coast is clear...as we get older...but I always look with the mirrors and over my shoulder
